Hong Kong Sinfonietta, which founded in 1990 and composed of the elitists of Hong Kong, dedicates to bring music closer to the community. On tour, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta became the first Asian orchestra to be invited by the Saint-Riquier Festival to perform in the medieval town in northern France in 2001. 2004, the orchestra returned to the Festival, as well as to the Flaneries Musicales d'Ete de Reims, as part of the Year of China in France. Last summer, it was invited to two Lithuanian Festivals and was also the first Chinese orchestra to perform at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.

Winner of the First Prize as well as "LYRE d'OR" in the 35th Concours International des Jeunes Chefs d'Orchestre de Besancon, France and a prizewinner in the 8th Tokyo International Conducting Competition in 1988, Yip is in great demand as a guest conductor in Asia. Her mentors included great maestros such as Norman Del Mar, Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa, Gustav Meier and David Atherton.

“Instrumentalist of the Year”for 2005 by the French Victoires de la Musique, Renaud Capu?on took his place among the top echelon of young violinists.
