Shanghai Film Laboratory was established in 1957, and is the earliest professional processing base in our country. Its major work is film processing and print making of 35mm and 16mm b/w films & color films and advertisements. Its annual processing & print capacity is over 70 million meters. The color film laboratory has the most advanced film processing equipment, including the DMAC processing machine imported from Italy with speed of 4600 m/h, and American film analyzing facilities.

　　Its film processing quality passed the tests of Australia Kodak Test Center, and has been ranked Grade A successively. Its quality of prints and services won the first prize in the first contest in the field, and the China Product Appraisal Committee evaluated its color film prints as the Ace Products.

　　Shanghai Film Laboratory also possesses of two stereo sound recording studios, one dialogue stage, one effect stage and one music mixing stage. Time Line Audio Station and digital visual workstation Otariconcept Elite Mixer were imported from the U.S.A., which has made its post-production facility leading in China and its sound quality and effect of the world level. Its recording facilities attained international standard. In 1997 and 2000, it was twice awarded the Best Film Technology by China Hua Biao Awards.
