¡¡¡¡Shanghai Concert Hall was originally named the Nanjing Theatre and opened
for business on March 26th 1930. In 1950 it changed its name to Beijing Theatre
and was renamed as Shanghai Concert Hall again in 1959.
¡¡¡¡The Shanghai
Concert Hall has a classical European architecture style, which is rare in
Shanghai. As the first domestic concert hall, the Shanghai Concert Hall has
always been one of the musical events centers in Shanghai since 1959, holding
Shanghai Spring International Music Festivals and International Radio Music
Festivals and providing a stage for numerous Chinese and foreign renowned
musicians and orchestras to demonstrate their artistic talent. Being located in
