Resembling a white phoenix stretching its massive wings, the Shanghai Culture Square is surrounded by green lands on Middle Fuxing Road, South Shaanxi Road, the Yongjia Road and South Maoming Road, covering a total area of 65,000 square meters, of which 56.6% is afforested.
    The Shanghai Culture Square now composes of a world's largest underground theater. In order to meet the condition in which the musical performs, the theater has the biggest multi-layer changeable stage nationwide, which not only has the function of translation and push-and-pull, but also is capable of ice-making, water spraying, revolving, and moving vertically. When not in use, the ice layer and water layer are hidden under the stage and when needed, they may rise directly from the stage, integrating cutting-edge technologies into musical creation.
