Symphony Fantasia:¡®Blooded Red Flowers¡¯. In 3rd Session of Shanghai Spring Festival in 1962, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Choir and Broadcast Chorus jointly played the symphony chorus¡®Poetry of Hero¡¯as its debut and received a huge success, which was his first cooperation with Shanghai Spring Festival. Later, many of his works were performed frequently in the festival and his first individual work performance was held in 1995 Shanghai Spring in which four of his works were performed, which caught wide attention during the festival.¡¡
¡¡¡¡Zhu Jian¡¯er, born in Tianjin in Oct 18th, 1922, is a composer. He grew up in Shanghai and taught himself piano and composing in middle school. He studied music at early age. In 1945, he joined theater of the New Fourth Army. In 1947, he was director and conductor for East China Military Region Art Troupe. After 1949, he was the composer of Shanghai and Beijing Film Studio at different times. He was composer for Shanghai, Beijing Film Studio, Shanghai Opera House and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra consecutively. In 1955, he went to Moscow Tchaikovsky College of Music to study composing and returned China in 1960 upon graduation to work as composer Shanghai Experimental Opera House. In 1975, he was transferred to Shanghai Symphony Orchestra as composer. In 1985, he was appointed as standing member of fourth session of Chinese Musicians Association. Mr. Zhu started creation of symphony at the age of 60, but he created 10 symphonies of Chinese own marvelously with only 22 years.
