Li Zhonglin, born in Pi county, Jiangsu province, is a choreographer. He joined New Fourth Army Twilight Troupe in 1944 and became actor of Xinan Troup in 1946. In 1957, he graduated from Beijing Dance Academy for Choreographer. He has been choreographer of Shanghai Opera House, art director of Cu Lin Art Troupe, and member of the Fifth Dance Association of China consecutively. Together with Huang Boshou, he directed‘Lotus Lantern’, he also directed‘The Fragrance of Lily Magnolia’and‘The Legend and the Hero’.

　　Shanghai Spring is where Mr. Li started his career. In 1960,‘Xiaodaohui Association’was perfect in Shanghai Spring Festival and later Chairman Mao and Standing Committee of the Politburo watched it too and spoke highly of it. In 1964, music and dance epic‘Charge under the Flag of Chairman Mao’was presented in Shanghai Spring and hailed as“New Path for Dance”. Later, more of his works such as‘The Fragrance of Lily Magnolia’and‘The Legend and the Hero’were displayed in Shanghai Spring Festival. His works were integrated with Shanghai Spring Festival and he said that he had been through thick and thin and that he made contribution to Shanghai Spring Festival and was blessed with its glory.
