¡¡¡¡Min Huifen was born in Jiangsu province in 1945. She was admitted into middle school affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music at 12 and into Folk Music Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After graduation, she studied from Liu Mingyuan, Lan Yusong. She acted as Erhu player of Shanghai Music Troupe, Shanghai Art Troupe successively, and was transferred to Shanghai Chinese Orchestra as solo later.

¡¡¡¡Since 1979, she has performed in more than 10 countries and regions such as USA, Canada, France, being appraised as 'one of most famous string players in the world' and 'even pause is full of music'. Famous conductor Seiji Ozawa said that she played out the sadness of life¡¯.

¡¡¡¡Mrs. Min also involves in folk opera music such as Jiangnan Sizhu-Music, Chaozhou Music, Beijing Opera, Yue Opera, music of song and poems, etc. takes in essence and keeps improving skills of Erhu and enriching the expression of Erhu. Her performance is passionate and delicate. In 1973, northeast folk music¡®River¡¯became her master work. In 1980,¡®The Great Wall Caprice¡¯was well received. In addition, she created Erhu works¡®Wish of Honghu People¡¯(composed according to music of opera),¡®Parting in Yangguan¡¯(composed according to accident music),¡®Mourning of Jia Baoyu¡¯(composed according to music of Yue Opera), Music and Heart Melody performed by team with Erhu. They have certain influence and are compiled into the textbook of University of Music.

¡¡¡¡In 1963, Min Huifen won first prize in Shanghai Spring Festival. In the 5th Shanghai Spring in 1965, Min huifen took part in the chorus of¡®Song for Ten Thousand Tons of Hydraulic Press¡¯accompanied by big band and the trio¡®Family History Old Poor Farmers¡¯performed with Erhu and Guzheng. In 1980, she played¡®Parting of Newly-wed¡¯at the opening ceremony. In 1986, Min Huifeng performed her big-scale Erhu Sonata ' Caprice in Great Wall' in Shanghai Spring Festival. In 1986, her¡®Music and Heart Melody¡¯debut in Shanghai Spring Festival and won highly praise. In 1991, the Erhu sonata 'In Depth of the Night' was performed in Shanghai Spring Festival and won Excellent Works Prize and Excellent Performance Prize, which gave full play to her idea of vocalization of instrumental music.
