¡¡¡¡Zheng Shisheng, male, Dean and professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, educator and performers of violin. He was born in 1936 in Yongchun, Fujian Province. Thanks to aura of the family, he was fond of music at young age and was sent to Nanjing National Music School to study violin by his father.

¡¡¡¡His biography was listed in Who's Who in the 20th Century in China and Contemporary Celebrities in China, etc. He was granted allowance and certificate for his contribution. He was also listed in World Celebrities.

¡¡¡¡Mr. Zheng is strict in teaching and research. He keep playing violin many hours each day and preparing for lessons. His career as a teacher is as brilliant as his career of performance. His students have won numerous prizes in competitions both in and abroad, and acted as backbones in many noted symphony orchestra both in and abroad.

¡¡¡¡Zheng Shisheng has published 12 classic concertos, the etudes Kaisai, Mazas, music for examination of Grade 9 and Grade 10, and 23 compact disks of Chinese violin works, and perform them himself. For large concertos, he compiled the method of fingering and bowing.

¡¡¡¡In the fourth Shanghai Spring Festival in 1963, Mr. Zheng won the first prize in the first national violin completion from establishment of PRC. He made many records afterward, and participated in Shanghai Spring many times.
