¡¡¡¡Jin Fuzai is a prominent composer, born in 1942 in Shangyu, Zhejiang Province. From 1984, his works are performed in music stages frequently both in and abroad, held personal concerts for thrice successfully. His work Flute Concertos was listed among 20th Century Classic Chinese Music.¡®Variation in the Mountains¡¯was awarded the second session of Baosteel Elegant Art Prize. He created many musicals as well and was invited to work on Puppet show¡®Warriors of Fate¡¯, which was a lasting success in Japan. In 1999, he created symphony¡®Dream of Red Mansions¡¯, well received by insiders. From 1978, he was hired by Shanghai Conservatory of Music as guest professor. In 1992, as a visiting professor, he went to College of Music in Pennsylvania State University and taught there for a year. His folk works were played in New York.
¡¡¡¡Jin Fuzai has been engaged in composing of film music and TV music for a long time, composed for more than 100 shows with wide influence. He is an innovative composer rooted in tradition. In addition to film music, he also created symphony music, ballet, music and other genres of music works. With innovative spirit, diversified melody, strong folk style, he is popular with audience.
¡¡¡¡Jin Fuzai has deep cause with Shanghai Spring and many works were performed in Shanghai Spring. In 1960, his¡®Leap Carols¡¯was selected as the first performance in the opening ceremony of First Session of Shanghai Spring. In 1982,¡®Himalayan Caprice¡¯was performed in the 10th Shanghai Spring, which is composed after his experience in Himalayan and won highly praise. Later, many of his other works were performed on Shanghai Spring Festival. In 2002,¡®Sunrise¡¯made its debut and was awarded special award of SSIMF. His¡®Last Moment¡¯was an experiment work adapted from the play of dominican playwright. For him, Shanghai Spring is a piece of pure music land.
