¡¡¡¡Duan Aiai is a young Erhu player, Chief Erhu Player for Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, member of Erhu Society of Chinese Musicians Association, Vice Chairman of Erhu Professional Committee in Shanghai Musicians Association, Guest teacher of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She studied Erhu from Liu Yian at 6. In 1993, she was admitted by Folk Music Department in Shanghai Conservatory of Music with distinct performance, where she learned from Wang Yongde, dean of Folk Music Department and prominent Erhu educator. In 1997, she graduated from the university with best academic records. In 2002, she won Excellent Performance Award in SSIMF.
¡¡¡¡Her performance is delicate and expressive, natural, fluent and profound. With solid foundation, perfect skills, acute sense of music, unique insight and persistent pursuit after art, her works take on a moving charm.
¡¡¡¡In 1991, as a high school student, she ranked the third in National Erhu Competition. In the opening ceremony in 2001, Mrs. Duan played¡®Introduction, Sing and Clapper Talk¡¯. In 2002, she played¡®River in Spring¡¯and won Excellent Performance.
