Liao Changyong is one of the few excellent Chinese singers active in international stages of opera. He is Vice President of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Vice Chairman of Chinese Musicians Association. He studied from vocal educator Zhou Xiaoyan and tenor Luowei. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music with master degree in 1995. Over the years, he was awarded with many international vocal awards. From 1996 and 1997, he won first prize in 41st Toulouse International Vocal Competition in France, Domingo International Opera Competition, Norway Queen Sonja International Vocal Competition respectively, which aroused sensation of international music circle. He played his performance worldwide and cooperated with world famous symphony orchestra Domingo and Jose Carreras for more than 10 opera and concerts.
