¡¡¡¡Famous Chinese dancer, national playwright director and first-class performer. She was born in Cixi, Zhejiang Province in April. 1933 and went to revolutionary base of Middle Jiangsu with her parents at 9 and joined the arm at 11 years old. From 1951 to 1953, she studied dance at Central Drama Academy and returned to Shanghai after graduation. She is Deputy Director and Dance Choreographer of Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe now, Vice Chairman of China Dancers Association and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Branch of China Dancers Association .
¡¡¡¡Shu Qiao joined Xinan Troup and started art career at 11. She learned dancing from Wu Xiaobang, Dai Ailian and noted Kun Opera artist Wang Chuanling, and Hua Chuanhao. She has made profound achievement in Chinese classic dancing and folk dancing. She is delicate in delivering emotions in dancing and can display the inner world of all ages, characters and identities. In 50s and 60s, she stared in¡®Sword Dancing¡¯,¡®Bow Dancing¡¯and dance drama¡®Xiaodaohui Association¡¯,¡®Lotus Lantern¡¯and¡®Niu Lang and Zhinv¡¯. As dance choreographer, she is diverse in type and genre with rich expression and style.
¡¡¡¡Since 1979, she created dance¡°Fly to Moon¡¯,¡®Yuefei¡¯,¡®Painted Skin¡¯, etc with other choreographers, made attempts in innovation of Chinese dance drama.¡®Yuefei¡¯was awarded Excellent Work in Shanghai Spring in 1982 and¡®Painted Skin¡¯was awarded Excellent Work in Shanghai Spring in 1983.
