The appraisal of Excellent New Artist Performance Prize and Excellent Original Works Prize of 32nd  SSIMF was completed on May 16, 2015 successfully. According to appraisal of Expert Group, 3 new artists Fang Yu (Guzheng), Zhang Zujing (marimba), Lu Yiwen (Erhu) are awarded Excellent New Artist Performance Prize; Wang Jing (vocal music), Group of VocalForce ( Song Gang, Yu Di, Wang Zhida (vocal music), Li Huiling (vocal music) and Zhang Liang(Pipa) are awarded New Artist Performance Prize; The works Snow in Winter (composed by Xu Shuya) is awarded Excellent Original Works Prize, and Colorful Rainbow (composed by Zhang Chao) and Dingjun Mountain composed by Zhang Dan) are awarded Original Works Prize. Certificates of Excellent New Artist Prize and Excellent Original Works Prize are issued to winners by noted composer Lv Qiming and Lu Zaiyi.

As the music festival with longest history inChinaand as symbol ofShanghaimusic and culture, Mechanism for appraisal of Special Prizes were established in the early of SSIMF. After      suspension for many years, the mechanism was resumed and improved in 31st SSIMF. 32th SSIMF is the second year when the appraisal mechanism is resumed, with tenet to support and promote new artists better and display the prosperous circle of music inShanghaione generation after another. Young artists can be candidates of New Artist and New Works Prize as long as they are citizens of People's Republic ofChinaor oversea Chinese working, studying or dwelling inChinafor a long term, and held personal performance or acted as important roles in a performance. High-quality original works can be candidates of New Artist and New Works Prize as long as it was premiered globally during 32th SSIMF whose video has not been sold in China Mainland nor broadcasted in domestic broadcast, film and TV. Reward ranging from 30000CNY to 60000 CNY (per capita ot works) is also awarded in 32th SSIMF to praise excellent new artists and new works as winners of Excellent New Artist Performance Prize and Excellent Original Works Prize.

Meanwhile, to propagates more excellent artists and new works efficiently and enable them to last, Organization Committee of 32nd SSIMF held special concerts for Zhang Jinru, Han Peng and Prism Trio as winners of Excellent New Artist Performance Prize of 31st SSIMF on 5th of May, 11th of May and 13th of May respectively. The practice will be carried forward and further promotion and propaganda activities will be held for winners and wining works.
