Ode to Sun consists of two parts, including vocal music and new works of dance. AS highlight of vocal music part, symphony chorus "Western Feelings" is an excellent work displaying the history vicissitude, regional customs and broad feelings of western people in western China. The five movements of Road, Euphrates Poplar, Stele, Wine and East and West contain touching folk customs; in musical note vibrate the longings for better future of the west. Two new solo works of Yang Xiaoyong and Dong Mingxia as famous singers, Gentle Eyesand Peace also leave a deep impression on people with unique perspective, fresh and elegant style. New dance works premiered are colorful; among them, there is group dancing 1921, Couple Dance Year, and collective dance of female Red Plum with artistic expression of brilliant achievements of the Communist Party of China; there is also six men dance Pioneer, Couple Dance Spring and three persons' dance "Song of Sky" with theme of western development; as well as Pearl of the Orient and Time Train, etc celebrating reform and opening-up.
