The masterpiece of the music composer Feng Tian: symphony cantata 5 Poems Written by Mao Zedong and chorus suite Yunnan Scenery performed on the stage of international festival of Shanghai Spring for the first time by big band. “ Festival in memory of music composer Feng Tian’s birthday of 80”conducted by Xieyang Chen performed in Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

Feng Tian’s important contribution lies in aspects of digging, protecting and inheriting the raw folk art. In his whole life, he created many works. He wrote more than 200 works, involving many fields such as symphony, chamber music, opera, ballet, chorus and film music. 

The festival of this time collects life-time pain working of the music composer. In these works, 5 Poems Written by Mao Zedong, the symphony cantata is praised as another great work after Yellow River Cantata  and the Yunnan Scenery , the cantata , is praised as “ Chinese music sutra of 20th century”.  

The festival specially invites Bixia, Wu, Chinese famous lyric Coloratura soprano, Jinquan Ma, singer of baritone, Yiyi Zhao, young woman singer from Air force academy of television arts center and Shuqin Gao, the Yunnan soprano, to express these two powerful works with high quality.
