Min Huifen conquer audience with Erhu music

Reboard Shanghai Spring stage to celebrate 50th anniversary of winning prize

 
Last night, the Shanghai National Orchestra in Shanghai Concert Hall held a concert named "The River Flows" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Erhu virtuoso Min Huifen¡¯s winning in the competition of " Shanghai Spring". 68-year-old Min Huifen played "Xiaoyaojin" and "the Honghu theme Capriccio" known as her magnum opus, making quite a sensation with her unique charm on stage.

In 1963, Min Huifen won the first award in the fourth "Shanghai Spring¡± National Erhu Competition, which created a new era of her Erhu performance career.  She has grown from an up-and-coming young artist to a milestone in the history of Chinese Erhu music in the last 50 years, and her artistic achievements have had a profound influence on the development of Erhu music.

Last night, the Shanghai National Orchestra convened Min Huifen disciples scattering around the world like Singapore, Canada, Beijing, Hong Kong, Chongqing, so that they cooperated with the 90-man orchestra, performing numerous representatives once presented by Min Huifen such as "the River""Newly-married""the Great Wall Capriccio", " Baoyu Mourns For Daiyu" Xiaoyaojin ", and " the Honghu theme Capriccio "composed or adapted by her.  These Erhu works of different themes are so rich in the form of performing that they have touched countless audiences, and has greatly expanded the performance space of the Erhu music.
