Oversea Chinese piano master Kuanhong Chen who cancelled a series of music concerts in U.S.A for the reason that they would be influenced by the Boston bomb confirmed at the present that he will take part in shanghai international music festival of Shanghai Spring as he promised. And he will play unparalleled work of Liszt by the world top piano Bechstein.

It was learned that the apartment of Hongkuan Chen is only three block away from the shotpoint of Boston bomb. After blasting, in order to combine with the police’s inspect, the couple is requested to stay in the apartment. Their emotion and health are all not in good status during the block for several days. So Chen cancelled the recent concerts in places such as U.S.A.  After the order in U.S.A recovered, Chen sent email to organizer of the two concerts in Beijing and Shanghai to confirm that these two concerts will not be cancelled. “I will try my best to adjust myself as soon as possible to go all out to take part in this piano recital during trip to Beijing.” In 13th, he will stage on Dongyi, using the famous piano-Bechstein D282 which has 160 years’ history to perform two works which will highly test the playing skills and artistic comprehension——Liszt’s piano Sonata in B minor and Maurice Ravel’s Gaspard De la nuit. Thereinto, the movement Le Gibet in Gaspard De la nuit at least needs 27 types finger contact methods, which let Chen decide to use classical technical piano, having better reducibility on exquisite timbre change, to present the works.
