In the morning of Apr. 13, 2016, the meeting of Organization Committee of33rd Shanghai Spring International Music Festival was held in Shanghai Municipal People's Government. As Vice Secretary General of Shanghai People's Government and Vice Director of Organization Committee of 33rd SSIMF, Ren Zongming addressed in the meeting. As Vice Minister of Propaganda Department of Shanghai CPCC and Vice Director of Organization Committee of 33rdSSIMF, Hu Jinjun presided the meeting. Xu Shuya, Chairman of Shanghai Musician Association and Vice Director of Organization Committee of 33rd SSIMF, made a report about the preparation of 33rd Shanghai Spring International Music Festival. More than 50 members of Organization Committeepresented the meeting, and aired opinions relevant to preparation of the Festival.

At the meeting, Ren Zongming proposed 5 requirements to hold the Festival successfully: Firstly, strengthen the overall planning to ensure safety. In the principle of "Responsibility Undertaken by Organizer", Organization Committee should make Pre-plan of Security and have emergency disposal capability, so as to ensure smooth operation of entire music festival. Secondly, the service should facilitate people and the music benefit people. During the music festival, more convenience measures should be taken so as to enable the masses to enjoy pleasure of the Festival, and obtain edification of music, and thus improve art appreciation level. Thirdly, focus on innovation and improve connotation. The quality od repertoires should be improved by innovative thinking so as to highlight features of the Festival, such as classic, international, originality, and times. Fourthly, publicity should be strengthened, and influence should be expended. the application of new media for publicity should be stressed in addition to full use of raditional media. Execute the publicity and report work of the Festival with multi-element platform. Fifthly, the construction of system should be reinforced so as to keep relevant work standard and in order. At the same time, the selection, introduction and evaluation system of repertoires should be perfected, so as to achieve sustainable development. Ren Zongming pointed out that he hoped each organizer and undertaking departments to define their work and duties, implement works practically, and work hard for a session of high-quality music festival.

Hu Jinjun emphasized in two aspects of work which should be well done for 3rd SSIMF: Firstly, as main undertaker of the Festival, Shanghai Musicians Association shall plan and coordinate various resources under leadership of Organization Committee so as to hold the Festival successfully. Secondly, the evaluation of the Festival should be strengthened; the media should make comments on specific works, especially new works of new artists, and thus drive the creation of music and dance and propel the growth of new artists into masters.
