　　2019 greets the 70thanniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China. We celebrate the 70th anniversary of National Day and pay tribute to the revolutionary classic by creating musical Travel of Sunshine. The Musical is adapted based on the novel "Story of Liubao" created by Mr. Hu Shiyan in 1950 and the classical film of the same name. We aim to create an exquisite stage work with strong innovative spirit and high artistic value. In the musical creation, Zhenjiang musician, Yin Qing with national characteristics will be invited to lead the music creation and the actors of Zhenjiang Art Theater will be responsible for performance. The theme song of the film "Story of Liubao" is "Travel of Sunshine", which carries on and interprets the classics. Now, the song not only represents the name of the musical, but also advances from the history to today through creation. The plot will also be expanded, and the original novel describes the simple love story of the soldiers in war-time. The Musical will be extended to the war of liberation. The hero dies a glorious death before just beforedawnof liberation. The poem describing Crossing- Yangtze-River Campaign and the news photograph I Sent My Loved Ones across the Rivermake countless contemporary people sigh with emotion deeply. The musical will coagulate this moment into the story with Jiangsu local features, eulogizing human nature and heroes,and into creation of such musical.

　　Plot of Musical

　　The musical is adapted from the fiction Story of Liubao Village.

　　The musical narrates the story before victoryof Anti-JapaneseWar when Liubao Village was liberated from the Japanese aggressors. Li Jin, the fourth squad leader of the New Fourth Army, was wounded in saving a village girl named Second Sister. They felledinto love under the pagoda tree. However, they were persuaded to separateby the political instructor to get married after China defeated the Japanese aggressors. Unluckily, after the troop left, local bully Liu Huzi attempted to seize Second Sister as his wife, but she resolved to refuse him by jumping into the river, who was missing then.

　　Before the Campaign of Crossing Yangtze River to liberate China completely, Li Jin and Second Sister met again and fell deeper intolove with each other in the war. Second Sister became the leader of Girl Supporting Team. Tragically, she saw her lover hit by gunfire when she sailed soldiers across the river. At that time the familiar song "Travel of Sunshine"isheard in red flags full of stage and the grandiosesceneof the mighty army crossing the river. This musical displays self-sacrifice and the nobility of love in times of war, which is musicalarousing the dialogue of younger generations with history, self-reflectionand emotional resonance.

　　First-class Director in China, Exchange Scholar of University of San Francisco, the US, Expert of Chinese Drama Culture, Chief Creative Officer of Lei Guohua Director’s Creative Studio in Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center, Guest Professor of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Art Director of International Drama Director Art Studio of STA Director Studio, Member of Arts Council for Shanghai City Theatre, and member of Director Art Council for China Theatre Association. She directed, wrote, and produced about one hundred drama works. The works directed by her won “Golden Lion Award”,“Culture Award”,“the Best Works Award”, and other national awards. Her main drama works includes Macbeth, Seeking for Mr. Right, Red and Black, the Lady of the Camellias, Aroma of Chrysanthemum,andthe Gadfly; operas include Sister Jiang, Blooming Then, and Women’s Heart; musicals include Butterfly, Alamhan, and Sunny Life. Moreover, she has Beijing Opera song and dance drama, Shanghai opera, Shaoxing opera, Huai opera, Ningbo opera, Huangmei opera, and low comedy.

　　Li Weipeng

　  He was born in March 1984,and graduated from Department of Musical, Shanghai Conservatory of Music. His musicals include Rocky Western Chamber, Ashima, Love Story of the Patient with Alzheimer's Disease, Love is like a Spark, Flowers and the Trumpeter, Love Story about Chinese Grand Canal, and the Book of Songs. He won Culture Award for Personal Performance awarded by Ministry of Culture, Best Works Award, and the Bronze Medal of the 12thCCTV Young Singers Grand Prix.

　　Huang Chusong

　  He graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy with major of Musical in 2018. He acted as Assistant Director in the drama "Pursuit"which is one of a series drama of Shanghai Anti-Drug Office in 2017. He recorded "Good Night, STA."in 2017. Moreover, he acted as executive producer of"Hair"in 2017. In addition, he acted as woof in Hair, a Broadway rock musical, Amos in Chicago, a classical Broadway musical, Chino in West Side Story, a musical, and Melchior in Spring Awakening, a rock musical.

　　Zhan Jiali

　  She graduated Shanghai Theatre Academy with major of Musical in 2018. She sang the interlude "On Songhua River"for "Northeast United Resistance Army"in 2015, acted as Stage Manager for Chicagoin 2016, recorded"Offensive Family"in 2017, and sang the theme song of "Jasmine Hotel"in 2018. Moreover, she acted as Crissy in Hair, a rock musical, Mona in Chicago, a classical Broadway musical, Maria in West Side Story, a musical, Wendla in Spring Awakening, a musical, the witch in Macbeth, Luodeng Delan in theSunken Bell, an experimental music drama, Feng Xueying in Mohua, a drama, Spring Roll in Dianxinxia, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Dolores in the Wizard of OZ, and Sandra in Big Fish, a Broadway musical.

　　Yao Wei

　　He is National Second Grade Actorof Zhenjiang Art Theatre. He acted as the leading actor “Mr Luo” in the musical Happy Salesman, Fahai in the musical Flooding of Jinshan Temple, and two different characters of Sun Quan and “Taoist from Maoshan” in the aerobic drama Three Kingdoms-Longfeng Chengxiang.

　　Du Juanmei

　　She is National Second Grade Actorfrom Zhenjiang Art Theater and “Top TenActors” of professional team of National Young Shaoxing Opera Actor Competition. Original song "To You"has obtained “Five First Project” award of Jiangsu cultural and ideological progress. She participated in music drama Happy Salesmanthat obtained drama prize of the 10thNational Wenhua Award. She starred in large-scale traditional drama Gong Wei Cun Ge Lianthat obtained best actor award of the First Jiangsu Festival. The opera song Jiangnan Balladobtained excellent singer award of the Second Shanghai Opera Song Competition. Modern drama of Shaoxing opera Sister Jiang obtained excellent actor award of National TV competition for Young Shaoxing Opera Actors.

　 She is the lead singer of original song Love in Zhenjiang, WindlessRiver Tonight, Forever Passion, Building the Great Wall of Loveand Great Love for Zhenjiang.
