　　In recent years, a new generation of Chinese traditional musicians composed of young and vigorous performers has emerged from Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. Lu Lu, a young Erhu performer born in the 1990s, is one representativeof them. With excellent skillsand liberality, she became prominent in large shows of "Our Homestead" and "Gardenia in Blossom".She has premiered a number of excellent original Erhu compositions, and won awards in Shanghai Spring International Music Festival and other international competitions. On the stage, she is calm, elegant and passionate. Her adroitmanipulation has displayed excellence of the contemporaryyoung Chinese traditional musician in the new era. This time, she will play "Songs of Youth" full of vitality of youthwith the Erhu in her hands, and displays modern charm of the ancient instrument by "Marvelous Ink"and other original or commissioned compositions of various genres, and shares her fathom of performancewith us.

　　Lu Lu

　　Lu Lu is a young Erhu player inShanghai Chinese Orchestra. She is a member of Erhu Professional Commissionof Shanghai Musicians Association, studying for Master degree of Arts in Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

　　Lu has won Gold Medal of Professional Group A in Second Hong Kong International Erhu Competition in 2011; Bronze Medal in Erhu Invitational Competition of the 29thSSIMFin 2012; Excellent Performance Award inthe 9thChina Music "Golden Bell Award" in 2013; Gold Medal inErhu Competition of the 32ndSSIMF, and Bronze Medal in "China Music Cup" Invitational Competition for Erhu Works ofLiu Tianhua in 2015;"Outstanding Small Work" and "NewArtist Award" in Shanghai Selection and Exhibition of Performing Arts in 2017.

　　Lu is a skillful performer, with nimble and carefree style. She is good at exploring connotation under music and expresses it in diverse ways. She looks composed and passionate in her performance on the stage, showing the unique charm of a contemporary young folk musician. Lu has played solo in important projects of the Orchestra, such as "2 Moments in Dream of Peony Pavilion" and "Gardenia in Blossom".
