¡¡¡¡Shanghai Conservatory of Musichas been cultivating and fostering music talents, and focusing onyoung musicians¡¯career development. The concert is the solo recitalof Shen Ziyu, an outstanding young violisttrained by SCM andGermany KlembergCollege jointly. Shen Ziyu, who is studying under Sheng Li as Viola Professor of SCM,and the violistNobuko Imai, has already been top prize-winner in numbers of international major competitions. In 2013, fifteen-year-old Ziyu Shen won first prize in 11th Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and set a new record for the youngest winner ever. She also won first prizes in the Johansen International Competition in Washington DC and Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York in 2014 when she started to join the roster for Young Concert Artist Management. Other prizes including second prize and Audience prize in Tokyo International viola Competition as well as in Brahms International Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with music master Eisenbach, Clymer, Iserles and Schiff, and been invited to tour in Japan, France, Germany and Austria. In this concert, she¡¯llperform Romeo and Juliet (excerpts)of Prokofiev, Pavane pour uneinfante défunte of Ravel and Sonatina of Schubert etc.
