　　Shanghai SMG Chinese Orchestra is a national orchestra,mainly composing and interpreting opera music. It responds actively to "Several Policies on Supporting Inheritance and Development of Traditional Opera" promulgated by Ministry of Culture,and gives full support to the development and inheritance of traditional opera. We undertake the art mission, take advantagesof SSIMF, cooperate with noted composers and opera masters in Shanghaito created a series of Concert of Opera Music Works every year. Since its debut, the orchestra has created such folk music ensembles as "Causeof Opera" and flute concerto "Caprice of Peony Pavilion" with tune of Kun Opera ","Nunnery Love"with tune ofShanghai Opera, Erhu concerto " Heartbroken in Red Mansion" with tune ofYue Opera, Huangmei Opera "Su Muzao,Biyun Tian" and Funny Opera Tune "Funny Tune Joint Singing", etc.and DanYangping, Li Guojing, Liang Weiping, Qian Cheng, Mao Xinlin and other famous opera artists joined in the performance, which received highlypraise from Propaganda Department of ShanghaiMunicipal Committeeof CPC, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the industry and numerousopera fans. On April 20, 2019, the orchestra will meet with opera fans with five original innovative works, expecting to bring an extraordinary Chinese opera masterpiece to music lovers.
