¡¡¡¡Wilten Boys' Chorus (Wiltener Sängerknaben) is one of the most famous boys' choruses in Europe whose history can be dated back to the 13th century, PremonstratensianAbbey. It was ruined by Second World War, and Wilten Boys' Chorustoday with national style was re-built in 1946. The Chorus consists of about 150 membersaged average aged 15, with long-term strict professional training, cultivationof fine traditional art, respective unique role in theChorusaccording to voice part. Unique timbre and hybridsinging of high pitched voiceand bassmake its performance full of tactile sensation, and arouse great attention whereverit goes with additionalstyles such as representative red national costume and traditional Austria musical instruments.

¡¡¡¡TheChorushas performednot only in Austria many times, but also in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Czech and Japan.It has cooperated with noted orchestras such as TyrolInnsbruckSymphony Orchestra, European Broadcasting Channel, TV Station (MDR, ORF, Bayern TV program, ZDF). TheChorusperforms variousgenres, such as solo, small musicals, national classical songs, church stories, sitcoms and stage plays, and participatedin performanceof many operas, such as Magic Pipe, Carmen, and RoseCavalier. Audiencesare impressed by its performanceof any repertoires in the world, praising theChorusas angel of god.

¡¡¡¡On May 28, 2018, theChoruswas awarded 2018 Jacob Steiner Prize, the paramountprize in classic music service. Hitherto, Wilten Boys' Chorusis the first and the last laureateof such honor.

¡¡¡¡Johannes Stecher has been artistic director of Wiltener Boys¡¯Chorus in Innsbruck since 1991. He studied in Salzburg Mozart University, majoring in Instrumental Music Education and Vocal Education, and studied the Organ in Tyrol State Conservatory.He has been Director of the Telfs District Music School since 1992, and Chairman of the Telfs Interregional Culture Initiativesince 2000.

¡¡¡¡Johannes Stecher conducts orchestral concerts,and Chorus & Orchestra. His work is documented in over 25 CD recordings ranging from Haydn's Creationand the Mozart and Johannes Brahms'Requiemsto Orff'sCarmina Burana, as well as radio and TV recordings. He acts as guest conductor of the Timisoara Philharmonic (Romania), has founded the Academia Jacobus Stainer Baroque Orchestra,and workswith other ensembles and reputable soloists. He is not just as Chorusmaster, but also as church musician and consultant.
