　　In implementation of national strategy of “One Belt, One Road” and integration development of “Yangtze River Delta”,Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shanghai Changning District People’s Government will hold AccordionFestivalin 2019SSIMFto promote public cultural services in the Yangtze River Delta region,and diversification, nationalization and internationalization of Chinese accordion.Accordionfestivalwill be opened in the evening of April 13th at Hongqiao New Town Central Park, and presenta carnivalof music for audiences, so as to create strong music aura and Shanghai cultural brand.

　　Performers include notedaccordion players and groups from Russia, Serbia, Lithuania, Moldova and other countries along “Belt and Road”, such asRussian ESSE-quintet, Serbia Bandoneon accordion and electronic accordion combination, Lithuanian accordion and violin duo, Moldovan accordion, and winnersof winner of theCoupe MondialeAccordion Championship.

　　Meanwhile, performers will tour Changzhou City, Ma’anshan City and Ningbo Cityvia the cooperative mechanism of Yangtze River Delta National Public Cultural Service System Demonstration Zone (Project) initiated by Shanghai Changning District.

　　Outstanding accordion teamsfrom Yangtze River Delta region will hold an accordion group performance on April 13 and 14, officials from Confederation Internationale des Accodeonistes (CIA) IMC - UNESCO and Accordion Associations of provinces and citieswill present as guests. The show isopen to the public and enables them to appreciate the charm of accordion at their doorstep.

　　Schedules

　　1. Performance in Shanghai

　　It will be held in the Central Garden of Xinhongqiao, Changning District. in the evening of Apr. 13, 2019, Well-known accordion players and performance teams from Russia, Serbia, Lithuania, Moldova and other “Belt and Road” countries will be invited to participate in the performance.

　　The performers include Russian ESSE folk music quintet, Serbia Bandou accordion and electronic accordion team, Lithuanian accordion and violin duo, Moldovan accordion champion player of Youth Group in World Cup.

　　Each group of actors plays about 20 minutes and the Concert takes about 120 minutes. The repertoires are representative national music of teams and well-known classic accordion works. The performance is presented in many forms, reflecting diversity of the accordion and local ethnic characteristics.

　　2. Performance in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui

　　A special tour will be held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and Maanshan, Anhui Province. By the cooperation mechanism of National Public Cultural Service System Demonstration Zone (Project) initiated by Changning District of Shanghai, the “Belt and Road” National Nation Accordion music is dedicated to the music lovers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.

　　3. Accordion Team Show in the Yangtze River Delta

　　The accordion teams from the Yangtze River Delta region will be invited to hold Accordion Team Exhibition on April 13 and 14. The officials and leaders of Accordion Associations of various provinces and cities nationwide and International Accordion Federation (CIA) are invited as guests. The show is open to the public and enables more citizens to appreciate the charm of accordion at their doorstep.

　　Russian ESSE Quintet

　　ESSE-Quintet is composed of five outstanding musicians who love music and play national instruments with local characteristics (diamond accordion). The Orchestra was founded in 2007 by students from the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts and the Rymsky Kosakov National Academy of Music.

　　Bu dint of outstanding techniques of its five members and musical instrument combinations (diamond accordion, tamboura, balalaika) with unique timbre, the Orchestra can play a variety of musical styles including folk songs, classical music, pop music, and integrate various elements

　　ESSE Quintet has held concerts successfully in Russia, Italy, Sweden, Germany, China, Canada and France. At present, it is the most famous ensemble in Russia.

　　The team has won many international prizes, including Championship in Lanciano (Italy) International Championship in 2009,“Silver Tuning Fork” Championship in St. Petersburg International Competition in 2009, and Championship of the 48th International Accordion

　　In 2012, it won Championship of Chamber Music Group in the “65th World Cup Accordion Championship”(Coupe Mondiale) that held in Spoleto, Italy.

　　Duet “Tutto a Dio”

　　It consists of young Lithuanian accordionist Augustinas Rakauskas and violinist Greta Staponkut. In 2012, it performed publicly in Duetat London Summer Music Festival for the first time. After that, the team has concentrated on chamber music and held concerts everywhere.

　　Such special team can perform works of different styles: from Baroque style, classical style and modern style, to tango dance and contemporary music.

　　“Tutto a Dio” has made remarkable achievements in the international arena and has been performing actively all over the world. They have held solo concerts in Switzerland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Italy, Bulgaria, Greece and the United States. The team has also won professional recognition in various international competitions and many championships in important competitions:

　　In 2017, it won Champion of Chamber Music Group of International Accordion Competition “Premio Internazionale di Castelfirdardo” in Castfelda, Italy.

　　Ratoi Radu

　　Born on September 20, 1998, Ratoi Radu is a young accordion player from Moldova and Romania, and has won more than 30 International Accordion awards.

　　He began to learn accordion at 6, and completed his study in Alexei College of Art at 15.

　　The Champion of 2016 World Accordion Championship Youth World Cup Group

　　Champions of World Cup Group and Popular Group in 2018 World Cup Accordion Championship and so on.

　　He has held concerts in many countries in Europe, Russia and North America.

　　Radu's music style varies from classical music to modern music, jazz music and folk music from different countries. In 2018, he won a scholarship awarded by President of the Republic of Moldova and the honor of “Best Artist of Moldova in 2018”.

　　At present, he is studying at Copenhagen Conservatory of Music in Denmark.

　　TANGO REACTION

　　TANGO REACTION is unique concert combination of two outstanding musicians. After 15 years of collaboration as professor and student, they decided to display the violent passionate collision between Buttons Accordion and Bandoneon Accordion. They play different musical genres, from classical music to tango, French Chanson and Balkan traditional music, which are charming and interesting.

　　Buttons Accordion and Bandoneon Accordion already made fantastic success at festivals and concerts in Greece, Italy, Malta, Finland, Germany, Austria, Czech, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia.

　　Aleksandar Nikolic(bandoneon accordion performer), born in 1973, studied at the School of Music Vuckovic in Belgrade, continuing his education at the Music Academy in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he completed his postgraduate studies in 1997. He is laureate of the international competitions Citta di Castelfidardo. He has held concerts worldwide. He has contributed largely to the promotion of tango music andAstor Piazzolla’s music in Serbia and worldwide, performed with many important symphony and chamber orchestras (Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, RTS Symphony orchestra, Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Saigon Opera Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Stanislav Bini?ki, St George Strings, Zagreb Soloists, Macedonian Philharmony, etc).

　　His passion for tango made him the only musician who plays bandoneon in Serbia.

　　He composed music in the own style of Balkango (unique mixture of Tango and Balkan music), with unique feature in the music circle. He is founder of Tango De Mi Vida (an international dance and music program), and founder of Beltango quinteto (one of most famous European tango orchestras), with more than 500 concerts in 25 countries. He is founder of the Belgrade Tango Association and artistic director of the International Belgrade Tango Festival. In 2008, Aleksandar Nikolic won “Astor Piazzolla Music Contribution Award”

　　Petar Maric was born in Belgrade in 1990, honored as one of the best young accordionists in the world. He won championships in Germany Klingenthal International Accordion Competition and Italy Custer International Accordion Competition, and three championships in World Cup Group, Popular Music Group and Accordion Group in Sixty-third Accordion World Cup Championship (Coupe Mondiale), which is the most prestigious competition of accordion players with 65 years of history, organized by International Accordionist Confederation.

　　Petar Maric studied at the School of Music Dr Vojislav Vuckovic in Belgrade, tutored by Professor Aleksandar Nikolic. He spent one period on music performance in France, accomplished the study and research in performance of classic accordion at Bratislava Conservatorium. He was awarded the most important honor in Serbia:"Angel of Belgrade"Prize of Belgrade, numerous repertoires from the Crown Prince Aleksandar Karacorcevic, including original works for accordion, and repertoires arranged from popular music worldwide. Petar Maric has thrilled the audiences in Finland, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, and Slovakia, USA, Canada, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand with his perfect music techniques, unique stage charm.
