　　2nd Shanghai Erhu Arts Week cum Jiangnan Erhu Forum in conjunction with the call for Jiangnan Erhu Composition is jointly-organized by the Shanghai Musicians Association and Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SCOM), co-organized by the Erhu Professional Committee and Chinese Music Faculty of SCOM will be held from 22 to 26 April 2019 in Shanghai.The Forum will include keynote speeches, dialogues, summits, round-table discussions and workshops by renowned and professional pedagogists, musicologists, composers and music experts from the orchestra, conservatory, music association and institution.Surrounded by the cultural landscaping of Jiangnan, the forum aims to provide a platform for experts to review and revisit on the holistic approach to nurture the erhu professionals with a greater vision in the areas of performing, composing, creating, researching and educating of Jiangnan style of erhu performing arts. The forum also hope to groom a group of erhu professionals with the character of cultural consciousness, confidence and willing to assume a vital role in advocating the creativity and value of Jiangnan style of erhu performing arts by bringing the ‘haipai’ culture to a greater height.
