　　During April 13 to 19, 2019, Shanghai Conservatory of Music("SCM")will host “Open Week of Shanghai Conservatory of Music”. During the one-week period, various well-planned activities such as concerts, lectures and rehearsals will be held in HeLvting Concert Hall, SCM History Museum, classroomsand Museum of OrientalMusical Instrument, as well as in such venues as Shanghai Symphony Hall and Shanghai Majestic Theatre. These activities will be open to citizens and students by reserving tickets. In addition toconcerts and visits, some courses are open to teachers and students of relevant music colleges in Shanghai; formal performances of SSIMF are selected open to students and citizens, enabling themto participate in the rehearsal of mastersand improve music appreciation ability. Moreover, as extension programs of the Open Week( including “Master Series of Shanghai Conservatory of Music” and “Songs of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Chinese Universities”), the activity themed with “Tribute to Masters - Series of Lectures on History of Shanghai Conservatory of Music” will be held inShanghai (the cradle of CPCand the birthplace of Chinese higher professional music education and the patriotic musicians) and Gannan (the cradle of music relevant to Chinese revolutionand the birthplace of People’s Republic of China). The concert tourthemed with “Songs of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Chinese Universities” will be held in the Yangtze River Delta regions such as Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangsu. Prof. Baran, Dean of the Frideric Chopin University of Music in Poland, will attend Open Week of theConservatoryand present a wonderful “Accordion Concert” for music fansin Shanghai.

　　The aim is to open theConservatoryto public, take advantages of music professionsfully, reflect functions of colleges and universitiesserving for society, and guide more people to appreciate and love music. In this session of Open Week, we will hold the philosophy of “serving society with love and sincerity”further, adhere to belief of SCMin service for people,inherit spiritof SCM, and make morecontributions to construction of music culturein Shanghai.
