To comprehensively show the achievement of China’s symphonic and ethnic orchestral music creation, and to promote continuous emergence of excellent musical works, talents and orchestras, the Literature and Art Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Musicians Association, and the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee plan to hold the performance entitled SYMPHONY OF OUR TIME - AN INVITED SHOW OF NATIONAL EXCELLENTORCHESTRAS from April to May 2025. Ten excellent orchestras will be selected from symphony orchestras and ethnic orchestras across the country to participate in the performance by way of invitation. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era while thoroughly implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, this show is intended to highlight the remarkable achievement in the development of China’s symphonic and ethnic orchestral music, and to promote the prosperous advancement of China’s music cause, by adhering to the principle of serve the people and socialism ("Two Serves" Direction) and the policy of "a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend" ("Double-hundred" Policy), persisting in creative transformation and innovative development, and upholding the people-centered approach to artistic creation.
