　　2007成立的“上海当代中国画意象画会”成员多为中国美术家协会会员、中国书法家协会会员、大学教授和画院院长等，以每年举办十人画展和学术研讨交流为主要活动形式。他们的作品风格迥异，山水、人物、水墨静物、小品册页无不彰显出一种海派的水墨语言。

　　2010“上海当代意象中国画作品展”以意象表达为主题，着重超越绘画的技术层面和传统观的局限，直抵内心和精神层面，力争带给观众以无限的想象空间、审美空间、创造空间。参展十位画家将以各异的风格，近百幅作品共同演绎同一种中华民族的文脉，展示海派文化的多元博大及崇尚艺术创新的时代精神。

　　Shanghai Contemporary Imagist Chinese Painting Association is a society aiming to promote a Chinese painting with Shanghai local style. Since its establishment in 2007, members of this association have organized activities or curate exhibitions annually

　　2010 Shanghai Contemporary Imagist Chinese Painting Exhibition will be held in Shanghai Xiang Shan Art Museum in September this year, keeping the line of imagery expression by going beyond the restrictions both of technique and of traditional value and touching people’s deep inside and spiritual dimension. Ten painters engaging in this exhibition will show next to one hundred pieces of works of different styles to reveal the same Chinese ethos they hold and represent Shanghai’s multiple regional culture and its Zeitgeist for creation, i.e.the spirit of the time.
