　　为庆祝2010年上海世博会，凸显“城市，让生活更美好”的主题，《观城--2010上海国际版画展》将于2010金秋首次举办。本次展览将展示国内外30位优秀版画家的作品（国内15位，国外15位）。意在展示各国各地艺术家对世界城市化进程不同阶段的观察、体验、思考、想象以及他们独特的表述。他们的作品中有对社会进步的期盼与欣喜，有对高速剧变带来的不适，也有对发展进程中某些现象的反思。

　　上海国际版画展的宗旨是以版画作为一种独特的艺术承载形式，展示中国与国际当下版画艺术的创作成果，努力打造国际版画艺术交流新平台。展览由中国美协版画艺术委员会指导，计划每两年举办一次。

　　In celebrating Shanghai Expo 2010 and emphasizing the theme of “Better City, Better Life”, “Visiting City-Shanghai International Engraving Exhibition, 2010” is to be held in autumn 2010. 30 artists, including half from abroad, will be selected to display their works in this exhibition. It is to show the observation, thinking, imagination, and individual representation of all these artists during the different stages of urbanization, depicting their expectation and happiness for social progress, their uneasiness about the fast changing world and their reflection of some phenomena.

　　This exhibition also strives to build a new platform for international engraving art communication.
