　　19世纪末、20世纪初在欧洲画坛的新印象派画家中，佩里耶几乎名不见经传。但他秉持独有的静谧、委婉风格，一生都执著于自己热爱的绘画题材——日内瓦湖以及周围的山峦美景。他热衷于捕捉同一场景在不同季节、时段、光线下的景像。在技法的表现上通常更偏于用线条和点彩的方法去还原光照与山峦的静谧气氛。

　　日内瓦美术历史博物馆此次精选收藏了亚历山大·佩里耶的毕生杰作约250件，囊括了他不同绘画阶段的作品，以时间为顺序，观众可以注意到画家画风和技巧不断成熟的过程.

Perrier was not quite as famous as the other neo-Impressionist artists in the late 19th century. As a landscape artist, he dedicated his entire life to capturing the shifting scenery, such as Lake Geneva with its surrounding hills, searching for the way to accurately render the light and atmosphere of these subjects to canvas. Influenced by neo-Impressionism, he used linear and pointillistic techniques to represent what he had seen.

Approximately 250 artworks dedicated by the artist himself to the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire will be unveiled to the public at the Shanghai Museum. All these works will be placed in chronological order so that the audience can experience the change and progression of the painter’s style and skills.
